Great days spent on the beaches at Argeles, Le Racou and Collioure. The snorkelling just beyond Banyuls sur mer was great and well worth a visit. The fireworks at Collioure were brilliant, we watched from the coastal path. Banana Boat and paddleboards at Argeles were great. Local Pizza place, Creperie and Boulangerie were all delicious. The Domain Pool and Tennis Courts were also very well used.With grateful thanks for a great holiday. Every blessing.

We have so enjoyed our two weeks here. Thank you so much for a beautiful holiday home!
The beaches have been beautiful and the scenery and sunlight breathtaking. We have found some lovely places to eat in; in fact we haven’t had a disappointing meal – which says a lot with 3 older kids/ teens. We loved Café Des Artist, and La Cabane in Laroque, Bar des Alberes in Sorede to mention a few. There are so many interesting towns and villages nearby we don’t feel we have exhausted everywhere by any means. We had a day in Spain but the trip took hours so we didn’t venture there again. By the way we left a puzzle to add to your collection. Thank you for all your help both before and during the visit. Blessings.

Thank you for your amazing villa!
We have loved staying here. Views have been outstanding and the restaurants have been delicious.We have been out to the beaches and swam in the sea. We also went to Spain for the day and went shopping in the city of Perpignan –it’s been really good.We have loved swimming in the pool. We have had great fun in the pool with our inflatable pineapple ring. We really loved eating out on the balcony to.

My time in France was a real highlight of my Sabbatical!
Where Eagles fly villa was such a peaceful place to rest and reflect and you did a fantastic job of providing plenty of detailed information about the area to go and explore.If it would be helpful, I would be very happy to forward on some resources, (books, and articles) that I found helpful for ministers taking times of Sabbatical. This formed part of my process of reflection and might be the kind of thing that could be available for ministers doing something similar.Once again thank you for your willingness to make your villa available in this way, it really meant a lot to me. If you’re ever in Edinburgh do feel free to join us for worship.

Amazing Week, Breathtaking views, holiday destination for life!
My girlfriend Rebecca and I have just got back from an amazing week at the ‘Where Eagles fly’ apartment. I actually designed and built the website for the apartment for Gill and to actually visit it after seeing all the beautiful photos was really amazing. The photos really don’t do the apartment justice, the view, even though we were there for a week every day blew us away – it was breath-taking and never have we stayed at a place with such amazing views. Gill provides a folder with all the lovely towns in the area you can visit and in the week we had it would be safe to say we visited nearly all of them! Definitely recommend hiring a car as there is so much to see and do. Our favourite by far was the town of Collioure – only 20 minutes from the apartment and what can only be described as a picturesque gem of a place. Lots of castles and medieval towns to see in the area, we also went on a lovely wine tour which would definitely recommend. The food, the towns, the view and last but not least the lovely clean, organised apartment made our week very special. Including the fantastic kitchen facilities where we cooked a few meals, dining with a beautiful view. We have definitely found a favourite holiday destination for life. Thanks so much Gill.

We have never stayed in a holiday apartment with so many extra’s and thoughtful items which make the say more comfortable and enjoyable
“We highly recommend this holiday apartment! We have stayed in many holiday apartments around the world through Airbnb and other portals and have never stayed in one that has so many little extra’s and thoughtful items put there to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. The location is superb, the views are breathtaking, with great amenities, the pool and tennis court are excellent, the area is diverse and interesting for walking, cycling, beach, history etc. You do need a car. We had a couple of minor technical issues that we were able to communicate to Gill who quickly arranged for Oli (apartment caretaker) to sort out. We have never ended up returning to a previous holiday location, however we intend to return to Gill’s apartment one day soon.”

“We had an amazing week at Gill and Mike’s apartment. We made it to Arles for the photography festival, as well as to Perpignan, Collioure, and down into the village. Jessica loved the Animal Park and we all made good use of the pool! The apartment is immaculate, brilliantly located and just as described in the listing. We hope to return at some point.”

“We stayed at Gills Apartment through Airbnb as a last minute arrangement. Four of us had arrived in Perpignan to be advised we could not be hosted at the holiday home we had originally booked for a week in August. It’s extremely difficult to find any quality accommodation for this peak period in this area in France. Airbnb put us in touch with Gill who did everything she could to get the apartment ready for my friends and I and we were very grateful to stay in such a great place. Gill had organised Oli who looks after the apartment to allow us to come and relax and provided refreshments whilst he got the apartment ready for our stay. We loved the tranquility of the location, the amazing views and everything that was provided in the apartment to make our stay comfortable – Thank you”

“We have been coming to Gill and Mike’s apartment for 5 years in a row and we find something different every year. The beaches at nearby Le Racou and St Cyprien are idyllic but our favourite place is Collioure with its particular atmosphere, The restaurants and the unspoiled ‘French feel’ of the town are second to none. We would recommend this place as a holiday destination for couples and families alike.”
